Cloudera Selects Vantage to Provide Silicon Valley Data Center Infrastructure

SANTA CLARA, Calif.– Vantage Data Centers (Vantage), a leading provider of data center solutions in support of mission-critical applications, today announced an agreement with Cloudera to support its data center infrastructure in Silicon Valley.

Cloudera signed an agreement to lease high-density data center capacity on Vantage’s Silicon Valley campus, with the right to expand significantly as the company grows.

“Vantage offered us an excellent customer experience, one of the lowest total costs of ownership, and the ability to scale quickly as we grow,” said Steve Hirai, Senior Director Corporate Services at Cloudera. “They also had outstanding references from current customers, which made the decision easy,” he added.

“We’re very excited to have one of the leading big data management companies on our campus,” said Sureel Choksi, Vantage President and CEO. “Big data drives massive and growing data center requirements, making Vantage an ideal long-term partner for Cloudera,” he said.

Vantage’s campuses in Silicon Valley, California, and Quincy, Washington, include four enterprise-grade data centers totaling over 100MW of potential capacity. Vantage’s highly reliable, energy efficient facilities, coupled with advantageous utility costs, provide customers with significant total cost of ownership advantages.
