Vantage Data Centers Announces Continued Growth in Santa Clara
Increasing capacity in Santa Clara to meet customer needs; adding Chairman of the Board

Santa Clara, Calif., June 19, 2012 – Vantage Data Centers, the leading pure-play wholesale data center developer, today announced the completion of several key components of its aggressive growth strategy.

Following completion of an extensive environmental impact review Vantage received California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) approval from the city of Santa Clara to deploy the entire 50MW of power available from its redundant electrical sub-station infrastructure.  This level of permit and build clearance is unprecedented in Silicon Valley, and provides continued confidence in Vantage’s preeminent ability to serve its customers.

In parallel, significant construction is underway to support existing and new customers as Vantage builds out electrical and mechanical infrastructure, tenant amenities, common areas and data center space. With only 12MWof data center space remaining in Santa Clara, Vantage is in construction on another 4MW of custom data center space to serve existing as well as anticipated customers.  In addition, a new Central Generator Plant is under construction to provide rapid scalability to the remaining capacity of the Santa Clara campus.

In addition, Vantage announced the appointment of Henry R. “Hank” Nothhaft as Executive Chairman.  As a successful entrepreneur, proven fund raiser and
telecommunications pioneer, he has led a series of technology companies from early stages to maturity, including Danger, Inc., Concentric Network Corporation, DSC
Communications and GTE Telenet Communications (now Sprint). Nothhaft is currently Chairman of the Board at SPTS Technologies and is on the Board of Directors at
Openwave.  Nothhaft has an MBA from George Washington University a BS from the US Naval Academy.

“After spending time with Vantage’s leadership team and board it’s clear to me that this is a company focused aggressively on their customers, innovation, growth and creating shareholder value,” said Nothhaft. “In Vantage’s first two years, their demonstrated ability to dominate the Santa Clara market, develop new, highly advanced data centers, and improve their access to capital is nothing short of amazing – and something that I would only expect from a far more mature company.”

“As we head into our third year of operation as a company we are excited about our prospects for growth,” said Jim Trout Vantage Data Centers CEO. “To continue to ensure our competitiveness we’ve made the decisions necessary to ensure timely delivery of permits and improve our campus in order to ensure that our current and future customers can move-in without delay and that we can scale our campus without disruption.  We are ahead of schedule in preparing and leasing our remaining capacity in Santa Clara. Our company has matured and the addition of Hank to our company deepens our executive capabilities, bringing a wealth of experience, and focuses us on additional technologies that are critical to our customers. He is a great leader and we’re excited to welcome him onboard.”
